It was  standing room only at our first all-candidates meeting tonight.  The event was sponsored by CommonSenseVictoria which was founded by Christopher Causton's family after he left office in 2011.  They host non-partisan all-candidate meetings for elections at all levels of government.

The meeting started off with a mayoral debate between Cairine Green and Nils Jensen - David Shebib arrived too late to participate.  There were questions around deer management, densification  and the decision this council made to not move ahead with the redevelopment of Oak Bay Lodge. After an hour we moved on to the  councillors debate. There were some very well thought out questions from the audience and Christopher did his usual job of moderating the discussions and ensured that each candidate was given some questions to answer. So - good questions, a very engaged crowd  and a great moderator made the evening go by very quickly.  Thanks again to Christopher and his family for hosting this event.

It will be interesting to see how many people attend the newly announced second all-candidates meeting which is to be held at St. Philip Anglican Church located at 2928 Eastdowne Road on November 4th starting at 7:00 pm.  Hope to see you there!!
